Gen4trees: Tree Plantation Movement to combat Climate Change

Gen4trees / Generation for Trees is a tree plantation movement to combat climate change with the Slogan “Green War Green is Freedom”.

Download Concept.

GEarth will influence every single citizen to donate for at least one tree and make them be part of restoring the environment. To fight climate change GLTS will plant 10 million trees as a symbolic green earth movement. This is a never-ending program and will run to inspire people to plant trees all around the year.

This tree plantation we will run globally and make a competition among provinces and districts for participation in the welfare of Earth. This massive mass tree plantation also ensures every citizen takes responsibility to save the earth and be aware to stop further destruction.

Long-Term Target: Maximum plantation throughout the globe. Trees and Plants at least 10 million from 2022-2030.

Type of Trees: Native Trees and Plants, Fruits, Birds, animal & insects Shelter, River Side, Saltwater Plants, Forest, Timber & economical supportive plants, and Others to fight climate change.

TREE PLANTATION IS AN ASPECT TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE

Trees and plants are the prime sources of environmental purification and Beautification. Considering the manifold benefits of trees including that they release oxygen into the air, inhale harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, CFC (Chlorofloro Carbon) etc. and unpleasant odors and filter pollutants from the atmosphere, thereby providing us fresh and clean air to breathe, preventing soil erosion, lessening the effects of global warming, and maintaining the ecological balance; tree plantation is essential to compensate and combat climate change.

IMPACTS OF TREE PLANTATION TO RESIST GLOBAL WARMING

Today the world is facing environmental problems. Global warming, ozone depletion, and pollution are alarming issues. Global warming is the rising average surface temperature of the earth’s climate over the past century, which occurs when the earth’s temperature increases because of the existence of greenhouse gases that prevent heat from escaping from the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases absorb heat energy emitted from the earth’s surface and reradiate it back generated by industry, transportation, and human beings. It has already impacted the ecosystem,

extreme weather events, untimely rainfall, irregular monsoon, heavy rainfall over a short time and very little rainfall in the dry period, changes in the timing of seasonal events, etc. The sea level is rising, and the sea will engulf the world in the recent future. According to international standards, areas under forests should form at least 25 percent of land inhabited by the human population. Trees cleanse the climate by absorbing gases and removing dust particles from the air through leaves. Trees consume carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, reacting with water and producing carbohydrates, oxygen, and energy with sunlight. Thus, there yield cooling in the atmosphere. The solution to these problems lies in planting more trees.

Trees give us food and shelter. Forests play a vital role in our economic development. Trees cause rainfall and thus prevent the spread of deserts. Trees save our land from erosion and maintain the fertility of the soil.

Outcomes:

  • Provide the oxygen we breathe.
  • Trap and store carbon, reducing the atmospheric greenhouse gases which cause global warming.
  • Bring rain to the land and play a crucial role in the world’s water cycle.
  • Store water and stabilize the soil.
  • Protect the soil and increase surrounding soil fertility.
  • Supply biomass for fuel needs and fertility.
  • Offer shade from the sun.
  • Provide windbreaks.
  • Filter dust and clean the air of other airborne contaminants.
  • Provide valuable wood, fruits, nuts, flowers, medicines and other resources for humans.
  • Provide fodder, habitat and other resources for other livestock and wildlife.
  • Care for Planet
  • Care for People
